Mississippi's precast concrete drainage work on state projects is governed by the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT). The requirements for drainage structures, reinforced concrete pipe, box culverts, and the concrete itself live in the Mississippi Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, with details carried on the state's standard drawings. Precast producers read those documents alongside the project plan set to know what to make and how it will be accepted.
MDOT plans present a Summary of Quantities sheet that lists work by pay item. Drainage items are tabulated as pay items such as reinforced concrete pipe by size and class, precast concrete box culvert by size, and manholes, inlets, and catch basins. Quantities on the plans are primarily for estimating, and field verification governs final measurement and payment.

The 2017 Standard Specifications approve precast units on a per-project basis rather than through a single published precast approved-source list. Under 601.02.3 a contractor may request approval to furnish precast units in lieu of cast-in-place by submitting detailed drawings and design data certified by a registered Professional Engineer.
Plant certification: Per-project approval under Subsection 601.02.3. Registered Professional Engineer certification per Subsection 601.02.3; precast sectional manholes conform to AASHTO M 199. No named third-party plant-certification program appears in the Standard Specifications.

A MDOT parser profile is on deck for DhyanaERP.
DhyanaERP Drainage Summary Import reads a plan set, finds the drainage structure sheets, transcribes them under a strict extraction contract, checks the engineering, and turns each row a person confirms into a priced structure. This status describes DhyanaERP's reading capability only. It is not a statement of DOT approval.
See DhyanaERP Precast EditionThe 2017 Mississippi Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Section 603 addresses culverts and storm drains, Section 604 addresses manholes, inlets, and catch basins, and Section 708 provides the material requirements for reinforced concrete pipe and precast concrete box culverts.
